Walker
enters 'Heaven'
Actor to star in
thriller
Paul Walker
is set to star in "The Heaven Project,"
an independently financed thriller to be directed
by John Glenn, who wrote the script. Pic is
a love story set in the framework of a psychological
thriller. Walker plays a man stripped of everything
he loves, who must overcome great obstacles
to get his life back together.
The film
re-teams Walker with "Eight Below"
producers and Mandeville partners David Hoberman
and Todd Lieberman.
"Heaven"
is produced by Hoberman, Lieberman, Matt Milich
and Bill Johnson. Jim Siebel will exec produce.
Evan Astrowsky serves as co-producer.
Shooting
begins April 15 in Canada.
Pic marks
the launch of Be Good, a production shingle
Walker hatched with Brandon Birtell and Tim
Whitcome; "The Heaven Project" is
Be Good's first company credit.
Foreign
sales will be handled by Johnson's Inferno Distribution,
which arranged most of the film's financing,
and which recently co-financed and/or produced
"Peaceful Warrior" for Universal,
"Southland Tales" and "The Good
Night."
Glenn recently
scripted "Eagle Eye" for DreamWorks
and rewrote "The Source" for Columbia
Pictures. With ex-writing partner Travis Wright,
Glenn wrote drafts for remakes of "Clash
of the Titans" at Warner Bros., "Journey
to the Center of the Earth" at Fox and
"The Warriors" at Paramount.
